To assist voters prior to casting their August 30 primary election ballots, the FCCB has released
parish bulletin inserts and candidate responses to the Candidate Questionnaire Project (CQP).
Candidates were asked whether they support or oppose eight proposals that lawmakers may have the opportunity to act on in the coming term.
Each election cycle, the FCCB conducts the CQP to assist Catholics and the broader community with the obligation to become informed voters. All U.S. Congressional and Florida legislative candidates appearing on the 2016 ballot have been invited to participate in the questionnaire regarding their positions on key issues of importance to our faith community. Taking the time to become familiar with candidates' positions on issues involving human life, dignity and the common good is essential to responsible, faithful citizenship.
